50-Words Story #2: The Portrait

(c) Rembrandt

After months of care and craft, she was satisfied with the portrait she had painted.

She left the canvas to dry and stewed some coffee. When she returned, she saw colourful paws all over the canvas.

The cup of coffee dropped from her hand and crashed upon the tomcat’s head.

      1. we can create anything in our imagination but I seem to often find myself wondering about the problems people face every day regardless. thats a likely scenario though, perhaps the artists sees the painting as ruined and places it outside to be thrown away where it is then used by a homeless person to somewhat shield themselves from the elements. although it would probably work about as well as a cardboard box, likely worse since it doesn’t have four sides
